"I’m really not sure why I’ve let you talk me into this..." sighed Marc, sitting next to Hamish on the tube.
"What do you mean?" asked Hamish. "A bit nervous, are you?"
"No, not nervous..." replied Marc. "I’ve been to sex parties before. I’m just not sure that I want to spend my Sunday afternoon getting naked with a roomful of guys that I don’t know."
"Isn’t that the whole point of a sex party?" asked Hamish.
"Plus, I’m not sure that I want to see you in action at a sex party..." added Marc.
"That’s the whole point!" exclaimed Hamish. "I’m not getting any action! I need a wing-man to help me navigate this."
"No one takes a wing-man to a sex party..." said Marc.
"Well, it’s worth a try..." decided Hamish. "I’ve been to SBN twice now, and both times I just get so overwhelmed that I end up standing at the bar and drinking as much as possible."
"We really should talk about your drinking..." said Marc.
"That’s not important right now..." dismissed Hamish.
"So, what are you going to do differently this time?" asked Marc.
"I’m not sure..." replied Hamish.
"Maybe don’t drink?" suggested Marc.
"Don’t be ridiculous..." said Hamish.
"Maybe try talking to people?" suggested Marc.
"I don’t think it’s that kind of party..." replied Hamish. "I haven’t really seen anyone talking. I mean, guys seem to talk to people that they know, but I don’t think I could just go up and start talking to someone I haven’t met before."
"I’m pretty sure you could..." smiled Marc. "What about if you just tried to look a bit more open?"
"What do you mean?" asked Hamish.
"Well, you’re a bit of an introvert, aren’t you?" explained Marc.
"Go on..." acknowledged Hamish.
"Instead of standing there looking like you absolutely don’t want to talk to anyone, try giving off a vibe that maybe you might be interested in some fun..." suggested Marc.
"That’s just my face!" exclaimed Hamish. "I can’t do anything about the way my face looks!"
"Just try giving out an energy that’s a bit more approachable..." insisted Marc.
"An energy?" repeated Hamish. "What are you talking about?"
"Look, don’t worry about it..." smiled Marc. "Maybe we’re over-thinking it. Let’s just go, have a few drinks and see what happens."
"I knew you’d make a good wing-man..." grinned Hamish.
